Dogs & Storks™ is the first national pre baby
program where dogs are the focus.  Answering
the call of many new parents, this program sets
the groundwork for success, through education,
before baby arrives.

Since 2002 hundreds of families have benefited
from this much needed program. Antler Creek
K9 is excited and  proud to bring Dogs &
Storks™ to Manitoba.   Dogs & Storks™
provides expecting families with practical
education and support during pregnancy to
increase safety and decrease concerns many
new parents and families may have about the
family dog.

This semi-private 2-hour workshop is bursting
with tips and information that gets families
started immediately in preparing for life with a
dog and baby under one roof.  Families will
explore the subtle language of dogs, ways to
include their dog before and after baby arrives
and so much more!

Private in home consultations are also available
for a much more “hands on” detailed evaluation.

The Be a Tree program is a dog bite
prevention seminar program for school age
children. This program focuses on fun and
interactive activities to teach children how
to read dog body language and how to act
safely around their own dog and strange
dogs.

Despite 12,000 years of living with dogs,
they remain largely misunderstood by
humans. When a dog bites we interpret this
in human terms. In most cases the bite is a
normal dog behavior. The dog that bites is
not necessarily a mean dog or a bad dog -
he is just a dog. To prevent dog bites we
need to understand what motivates the dog
to bite and reduce risk through modification
of both human and dog behavior.
