Private Consultations

"No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does."

Christopher Morley

One on One

Treat you and your K9 to spending some one on one time with a Certified Master Dog Trainer.  You will be amazed at how the communication gap can be bridged for a better, stronger relationship between K9 and human.

Our private consultations are not just for behavior challenges.

Here are a small sampling of the areas we can help with:

    • teaching a new trick
    • "my dog won't play fetch"
    • is my dog bored?
    • crazy dog at the door!
    • we are moving - how will it affect my dog?  Can I make it easier?
    • we want a second (or more) dog - is this a good idea?
    • walking the dog - or is the dog walking you?
    • I need my dog to do _____.  How do I do it?
    • We are expecting a baby - what about the dog?

We also can help with behavior challenges such as:

    • barking
    • biting
    • chewing
    • jumping up on people and children
    • protective behaviors such as growling and lunging over food or toys
    • pulling on lead
    • aggression towards other dogs or people
    • off leash control and recalls

Remember, these are only a small sample.  If you have concerns about your K9, or want to teach them something new, please contact us.  We can help.

    Thinking of Getting a Dog?

"We've begun to long for the pitter patter of little feet - so we bought a dog.  It's cheaper and you get more feet."

    Rita Rudner

You are wanting a K9 companion.  Why?

    • The kids want one.
    • You want a companion for hunting.
    • You are single and are looking for a little more personal security.
    • The family saw dog agility competitions on TV and want to try it out.
    • The kids have grown and gone, and the house could use the pitter patter of little companion feet.

Whatever the reason, this is a serious commitment of time and money.  Why not start out the search by spending some time with us?

    Things to consider:

    • type of dog?
    • purebred or mixed breed?
    • adult dog or puppy?
    • adoption or pick from a litter?
    • cost of a dog over 10-15 years?
    • what do we do with a dog once we have it?
    • what training methods should I use?

These are just a few of the topics covered in our "Is a Dog right for me?" consultation, which is a great step in the prevention of dogs being given up or returned to shelters all over North America.

Start things out on the right paw with a consultation from an expert.
