they aren't so good at finding things that they bury."

Jobs for Dogs

Antler Creek K9 has the ability to train dogs for specific tasks.  From choosing the puppy to training the handlers, we ensure the dog and handlers are trained for success.

The types of tasks K9 can perform is limited only by our imagination, so we need your input to help us define what job you may need a dog for.

A very short list of jobs we can train for include:

  • Assistance dogs.  These dogs are trained to help people with physical challenges, hearing loss, restricted mobility, or those in need of a therapy dog for their work environment.
  • Tracking Dogs.  These dogs are used by police forces, search and rescue teams, and are now in place in some long term care facilities to help track patients who may have wandered away.  These dogs can also be trained to work as therapy dogs at the faciltity.
  • Scent dogs.  Also called detection dogs, we can train dogs to locate a specific scent.  A few of the fields that use detection dogs are: gas leak detection, accelerant (arson) detection, illegal substances, cadaver location.
  • Puppy for you.  You want to get a puppy but don't have the time to get things off on the right paw?  We love to puppy train, and we firmly believe the secret to a successful adult dog is a dedicated puppy training program.  The details we work out with individuals and families, but rest assured you will get a well socialized, basic obedience, house trained addition to your family.  Part of the program includes training for the humans of course.

  • Guard Dog and

  • Personal Protection Dog.  These highly specialized K9s are not for everyone.  Please   contact us for more information.
